The City Council met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers; Mayor Dale Roberts called
the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; City Clerk Ruby Miller called the roll and the following Aldermen answered to their names: Jim Sarnes, Portia Brown, Greg Cox, Harold Palmer, Charles Campbell, Brenda Stadsholt & Don Bryant. Absent: Jim Stroh A quorum was present. Meeting taped. Attorney Blake Lindner was in attendance.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was repeated by City Officials and Guests.

CITY TREASURER’S City Treasurer Beaty said she None
REPORT wanted to talk about the Sewer
Fund. Council may want to
look at an additional Sewer
rate. Discussion on looking
at the Sewer Fund revenues.
Will look into further.
CITY ATTORNEY'S None None

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
REPORT Terry Svob reported to Council, None
a representative from HMI
was here to do the site work.
PUBLIC WORKS Jewel Bucy reported that the None
REPORT oil & chip work is finished.
We went over the quantities
a little and did not do High
Street.
We still have Farmington’s
Duropatcher. We are about
half way on that part.
Handicapped ramps done at
New Central.
LaCrosse…will work on seeding.
Found oil leaks on Dixie Chopper.
FS lending us equipment for
two weeks.
We have about 8 more sprays
for mosquitos…will probably
last till mid-September.

FINANCE & Alderman Palmer told the Council None
PURCHASING that we had reached the first
quarter of the Fiscal Year.
We are at 25% for the 1st qtr.

HEALTH & Absent None
SANITATION
LICENSES, ORD. Alderman Cox read the first None
& LEGAL reading of Ordinance 1299 being
ORD. 1299 an Ordinance relating to fees and
salaries of elected City Officials.
Ordinance 1299 will be on the
next agenda for second reading
and vote.
PERSONNEL Alderwoman Stadsholt reported None her Committee had a meeting
with Chief Kevin Noble
regarding updates, training and
possible future problems.
Continue with the review meetings
with Kevin Noble and Jewel Bucy.
Reminder of FOP meeting 8/27
at 2 p.m.
PLANNING Alderman Bryant reported the None
Committee met regarding the
new water tower projected costs
and how they might be financed.
Dave Pistorious of Midstate Inc.
was here re the possible bonding.

PROPERTY & Alderwoman Brown reported None
ZONING Council should get together
with the Sr. Citizens to talk
about the heating costs at
the Riverside Club building.
Also need to discuss the
Public Safety building
and City Hall building.
