The City Council met in Regular Session in the Council Chambers; Mayor Dale Roberts called the Council Meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.; Deputy City Clerk Marty Balbinot called the roll and the following Aldermen answered to their names: Jim Sarnes, Greg Cox, Jim Stroh, Brenda Stadsholt & Don Bryant. Absent: Portia Brown, Randy Bell, Charles Campbell. A quorum was present. Attorney Blake Lindner was present. Meeting taped.
The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag was repeated by City Officials and Guests.

Corporation had submitted a
proposal to do eleven borings
on Broadway at a cost of
$5,700 to evaluate how the
soil will be impacted by
the excavation needed to
complete sewer line construc-
tion. Copy of proposal
available for Council to see.

of Economic Interest forms
are in their mail slots.

REPORT Terry Svob informed the None
Council the Havana brochure
which was last updated in
June of 2007, could be updated
and 12,000 brochures printed
for the same cost of $2,419
which was charged in 2007.
Rural Development Conference is
in Peoria March 3 & 4; the City is
entitled to four free spots. Let him
know if you are interested.
New Illinois River Road, National
Scenic Byway Map & Discovery
Guides are now available.
Historic preservation program
to be held at SRC. Anyone
interested in attending, Terry
would be happy to help with
registration.
Stakeholders meeting to be held
at Dickson Mounds to get input
on where they would like to see
the Byway in five years and
what they hope to accomplish.

PUBLIC WORKS Jewel Bucy reported that None
REPORT Layne-Western had completed
the work on the water filter.
The garbage truck is repaired
and back in service. Waste
Management provided a truck
and driver for 2 days, Bob
Shaw from Lewistown provided
a truck and driver to the City
for 1 day. Neither charged us
for their assistance.
Hoerr Construction work
on sewer line from well to
highway, estimated cost of
repair was $25,000. Completion
of repair work to be done
on a cost-plus basis to be
fair to all, as they have
no idea what they might
encounter during the completion
of the repair process.
